Stidham family:Puppy luv'n

This session turned out to be more fun for me than I anticipated, and I was anticipating some fun. I'm not a big animal lover, Brian and I have no pets of our own nor any plans to adopt one, but I knew if I wanted to do family photography I had to be willing to do pets as well. Even if our family doesn't have one I am a believer that any pet you have really is a part of the family and adds a certain dynamic you don't want to miss out on in pictures. The pup in these photos is my 'nephew' Jack. Jessica and Heath adopted him just a few months ago and he really is a precious pup. He was wanting more play time then camera time but in the end it made for some great shots. See for yourself....
Jess and Heath, thanks for letting me do your holiday photos. I had a blast!

Welcome to the family Jack

This one is going in a frame in my house! Love it

Docken's family:country style

In my opinion it takes a combination of elements to create a good photograph. Good equipment, good location, good subjects, good lighting and a good eye for posing the shots. Yesterdays session with my sweet sis-in-law and her men had ALL of those elements! We ended up capturing some wonderful shots but I think my favorite part about this session was that one of the wonderful subjects is my handsome and so cool nephew, Gabriel Wyatt. He is TOO CUTE for words...Just see for yourself! Thanks Juan and Alicia for letting me do this session with you, I can't wait for the next one!

Here is a little preview from some of my initial Holiday Sessions. I still have openings for Saturday Nov. 27 and Monday Nov. 15. Contact me for more info!

Did a "test run" with my baby sisters and got some super cute Christmas shots. With a rookie photographer for a sister they have the modling down!

{D} Family Holiday session....It was cloudy and cold but we still had fun, and I have lots of fabulous pictures to prove it. Here are two favorites (unedited)

{V} Family girls K and L, enjoying the Christmas decor...

....It is baby L's first Christmas and she was especially distracted by the pretty bows and ornaments which made it difficult to get her attention, but we still got some adorable shots.

I've said it before but here is proof, I can't leave a photo shoot with out some close-ups of the feet!

My Pleasure

I love photography. I love taking a family and giving them a fun idea and seeing it work out flalessly like these amazing family shots. I love when precious memories like these are captured through a lens. I love the flare, the landscape and all the pretty smiles. I take pleasure in capturing these moments. I also find pleasure in viewing and admiring the work of those who live to capture those moments. I have some very precious and talented friends who are photographers; and in typical photographer form they bring their own flare and unique perspective to each photo.
Check out their websites to see for yourself:

Morgan Gauntt

Kaila Jackson

Ava Jordan-Curasi

Casey Gilboy

some other photography blogs I have recently come to enjoy are below...

Joy Harmon Prouty has a vintage style and is super creative (get some
ideas from her!)

Rita is a passionate stay-at-home mom, who is equally passionate about photography as she is about her two sons! (she gives lots of tips and freebies
here)

Jaime Temple is a new favorite of mine, I just drool over every shoot. Nothing super fancy, no jaw dropping editing effects, just well shot and nicely edited
AMAZINGNESS

While I could list a few more sites that I just really enjoy perusing every now and then I think this is sufficient. I'd love for you to share links to your favorite photographers because as much as I love being the photographer that love is constantly fueled from the inspiration of other photographers!
