Shelby:Senior 2012

Photography has been my only hobby since high school, so for my graduation I got a Canon Rebel 35mm (my parents gave me much more than I deserved.) I took a photography class in college and enjoyed developing photos and experimenting...then everything went digital and I got consumed with classes and friends and my camera collected dust. Last year when I brushed off the dust and began taking pictures again I quickly talked my husband into letting me get a digital camera and bought a Canon Rebel xti. Not what I would have picked but it fit our budget. Anyway, to brush up on my rusty skills I ran over to my parents house where my sister and four of her BFFs were. I didn't even ask I just said "get pretty and come model for me."
Since then the girls have been saying they want me to do their senior pictures. I already did Sarah's and just finished Shelby's...unfortunately I'm moving out of the country Sept. 26 and won't get to do my own sisters. But I am praying for a photo shoot in Rome this coming May to make up for it.
All this to say, Shelby's has been anticipating her senior pictures for a while now. In classic Shelby form it was very dramatic, and lots of fun. I'll spare you all the drama filled details and just show the finished product.
Praying your senior year is full of valuable life lessons helping to prepare you for the "adult" years ahead, as well as many fun memories with friends to look back on and cherish in those "not so fun" adult moments. Love you Shelbster

Babies:Sigh

About a month ago, I was telling a friend that I'd love to be able to do a newborn session but that I thought it would be a long time before I'd get to the point where I could. The next day my mom called to see if I would take pictures of a friends newborn! She wanted to give the session to them as a gift. Honestly, I wanted to say no, but of course I said yes, and I'm so glad I did. I made sure my sister, Olivia, was available to help out and we set a date and time with the family.
This little session was the parents first time out of the house with baby J since coming home from the hospital. I was so delighted to have a newborn in my arms I honestly didn't want to put him down for pictures! Thank you mom for thinking of me, and thank you to baby J's parents for bringing him out. I had a wonderful time!

Cassi:Travis

Cassi and I used to work together out at the Juvenile Attention Center...and do we have some stories we could tell! But the only story here is how Cassi (now a Police Officer) met Travis (also in Law Enforcement) and fell in love...here is to a happily ever after, or as happily any couple can be in this crazy messed up world!

Family Portrait:Bushnell Bunch

This past Sunday was the first time my parents and all us kids have been together since Christmas time, and it was the last time we'll all be together until....we'll it'll be awhile. So even though it was a short and busy time together, we knew we had to get a picture. It has been so hot out here in Texas that I've been avoiding shooting at anytime late in the day, unfortunately 4:oopm was the time we planned to take pictures, so we went up to our cool church lobby and well....this is what we got.

The next day we went out, in the early(er) morning for a sister shoot. Those shots turned out a little better...

I'm really going to miss my family but I'm thankful I'll have these, and other photos, to keep with me always.

Sarah Moore:Cheer Senior

Sarah is easily one of my favorite people to take pictures of. She is not only GORGEOUS inside and out, but her inner beauty is exhibited through her laid back and sweet attitude that she is well known for. This combo of beauty and grace makes sessions with her enjoyable from start to finish, and she'll pretty much go for anything, like continuing through a rain storm, or climbing over a fence to get to a good spot.
I am excited to see all the places she goes in life and the things she accomplishes as she humbly and fervently follows her Savior.
Here are just a few of my very favorites from Sarah's senior session
